The President met with Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanár, at Bessastaðir. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Ľubomír Čaňo, Honorary Consul Runólfur Oddsson, and Director General Ladislav Babčan.
Discussions focused on the broad and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, including collaboration in education and within NATO. The participants also exchanged views on their shared experience in harnessing geothermal energy, highlighting both nations’ expertise in the field. Particular emphasis was placed on the significant opportunities for further development and strengthened cooperation in this area.
