The President met with a two US Senators, Ms. Lisa Murkowski and Ms. Catherine Cortez Masto, who visited Iceland to learn about the Icelandic government’s policy on Arctic affairs and to discuss relations between Iceland and the United States.
At the meeting at Bessastaðir, discussions focused on the progress Iceland has made in gender equality, Icelanders’ experience in the use of green energy, as well as the long and fruitful co-operation between Iceland and the United States in different fields, including culture and trade.
