Greetings to China

The President sends greetings to the President of China.

The President sends Xi Jinping, President of China, greetings on behalf of the Icelandic nation on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China on their National Day, October 1st. In the letter, the President expresses pleasure at how prosperous the relations between the Icelandic and Chinese nations have been. She also emphasized that despite the distance between the corners of the world and the difference in size of the nations, China and Iceland share common interests and challenges with all of humanity.
In the same letter, the president also thanked for the congratulations sent by Xi Jinping on the occasion of her inauguration on August 1st.
