The President sends greetings to the Ukrainian people.
The President sends her best wishes to Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people on the occasion of their Independence day on August 24. The greeting was in video form and sent to Ukrainian state television, where it was broadcast along with greetings from other Heads of State.
In her greeting, the President congratulated the entire Ukrainian nation on the occasion and reaffirmed Iceland’s support for Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty.
