The President meets with Kumi Naidoo.
The President meets with Kumi Naidoo, who leads the Fossil Fuel Nonproliferation Treaty Initiative. Naidoo previously headed Greenpeace and Amnesty International. They discussed the goals of the treaty and ways to get the countries of the world to reduce their use of fossil fuels more rapidly. Naidoo believes that Iceland can play a major role in this and is visiting with Alexandre Naulot, the initiative’s Head of European Campaigns.
The meeting was also attended by the artists Ólafur Elíasson and Andri Snær Magnason.
