The digital agency Júní has designed a new website, launched today, for the Office of the President of Iceland. More emphasis is placed on visual communication of material on this new website than the previous one. It is, for example, possible to take a virtual tour of Bessastaðir.
The website replaces one that was designed nine years ago, in the first year of Guðni Th. Jóhannesson’s term as president. Following a market survey, an agreement was made with the digital agency Júní for the project. Members of the design team at Júní were Fanney Vilhjálmsdóttir project manager, Jón Lorange developer and Júlía Runólfsdóttir designer. The lead designer was Guðmundur Bjarni Sigurðsson, who owns Júní together with Arndís Thorarensen and Andri Úlfarsson.
The Office of the President would like to thank Júní for an excellent collaboration. The office would also like to thank all the people who have contributed to the project, including web-consultant Sigurjón Ólafsson at Fúnksjón, Kristín Svava Tómasdóttir and Julie Summers.
