Official visit to the Faroe Islands

The presidential couple will travel to Þórshöfn on 24 June.

The President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, and her husband, Björn Skúlason, will make an official visit to the Faroe Islands from 22–24 June 2026. Their hosts will be the Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands, Beinir Johannesen, and his wife, Helena Johannesen. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the close ties between Iceland and the Faroe Islands and to work towards further cooperation between the two countries, including in the fields of fisheries, energy, innovation, and culture.
