The President meets with Honorary Consuls.
The President of Iceland met with Erika Halasova, Iceland’s Honorary Consul in Slovakia, and Runólfur Oddsson, Slovakia’s Honorary Consul in Iceland. In addition to serving as honorary consul, Erika Halasova is also a professor at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Slovakia, where a large number of Icelanders have studied medicine in recent years and around 100 Icelandic doctors have now graduated. They discussed the successful relations between Iceland and Slovakia and the mutual benefits of Icelandic medical students training in Martin.
