The strong ties between Iceland and Poland

The President receives the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland.

The President of Iceland received in Bessastaðir Ms. Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, who is on an official visit to Iceland, along with a delegation of Polish senators. They discussed, among other things, the valuable contribution of Polish immigrants to Icelandic society and the diverse trade and cultural ties between the two countries. Gender equality and defense issues were also on the agenda, as well as cooperation between the two countries within NATO and the EEA.
