Visit to Vestmannaeyjar

Vestmannaeyjar is one of Iceland’s most important fishing ports and also renowned for its natural beauty and vibrant community. The presidential couple flew to Vestmannaeyjar on 8 January. The town council welcomed them at the airport. On the afternoon of that Thursday and on Friday 9 January, the town council introduced the presidential couple to local life, the main institutions and the business sector in the islands.
