Björn Skúlason

Björn Skúlason was born in Reykjavík on 20 July 1973. He is a trained chef and holds a master’s degree in management psychology.

Background
Björn is the son of Ester Guðlaug Karlsdóttir and Skúli Magnússon. Raised in the town of Grindavík, he was active in sports from a young age and played football for Grindavík as well as KR football club in Reykjavík. Björn and Halla Tómasdóttir married in 2004. They have two children, Tómas Bjartur and Auður Ína.
Study
Björn trained as a chef at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York and holds a master’s in management psychology from the University of Essex in England.
Career
After completing his studies in the United States, Björn returned to Iceland and worked at the insurance company TM, and the financial firms Íslandsbanki, and Auður Capital. He later ran a catering company in Copenhagen and went on to serve as Managing Director of the Nóatún grocery store chain. In recent years, Björn has operated his own supplement company, Just Björn, which sells Nordic marine products in the United States.
